There are a variety of annual events held in the Franklin Cultural District each year. Mark your calendar for the following:

MARCH

CAAD logoCommunity Arts Advocacy Day
The Franklin Cultural Council holds CAAD each year as an opportunity for MA residents to talk to state legislators, advocate for the arts, arts education, and arts funding, and attend free arts management workshops for arts and cultural organizations.

 

APRIL

taste of artweek picFranklin ArtWeek
ArtWeek is a state-wide arts festival that comes to Franklin the last week of April/first week of May. Each year, approximately 50 ArtWeek events are held in Franklin, including concerts, play, dance performances, hands-on art workshops, lectures, culinary events, wine tastings, and more. JUNE

strawberry strollStrawberry Stroll
The Franklin Downtown Partnership holds their annual Strawberry Stroll in June, with more than 100 vendors, food booths, entertainment, activities, and of course, strawberry shortcake!


 

July

fireworks4th of July Celebration
Four days of fun! Music, food, a carnival and more on the Franklin Town Common organized by the Franklin July 4th Coalition. See this year's schedule here.

 

July & August

Concerts on the Common
Most Wednesday evenings in July and August, join us on the Franklin Town Common for a fun outdoor concert. Concerts begin with a kid-friendly entertainer from 6:00 - 6:30, followed by a professional band from 6:30 - 8:30. Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy music under the stars!

October

harvest festHarvest Festival
The Franklin Downtown Partnership holds their annual Harvest Festival in October, with more than 160 vendors offering activities, food, entertainment, giveaways, and more.


 

December

The Nutcrackernutcracker
Franklin School for the Performing Arts puts on a full-length production of The Nutcracker ballet each year, complete with live orchestra. Don't miss this well-loved holiday classic!
