Encore Music Academy and Recording Studios offers a state-of-the-art recording facility, as well as music lessons and performance opportunities for our community. We offer private instruction in most instruments, including, but not limited to, guitar, piano, bass, voice, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, violin, viola, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, drums and percussion. We also offer private instruction in songwriting, composition and audio recording techniques as well as various chamber and vocal ensembles. In addition, we offer audition prep for college-bound students looking to major in voice, musical theater and the performing arts!

Founded in October 2015, in the town of Franklin, Massachusetts, by co-founders, Lisa Ostrow and Patrick Dreier, the Encore Music Education Foundation, Inc., was established by its Board of Directors in order to fill a perceived need in the community for more tangible music education financial support, and to recognize the merits of music students of all ages.

The Franklin Art Association was established in 1971 to provide a forum for the promotion of visual arts; for the preservation of the finest artistic traditions by means of exhibiting works, conducting classes, lectures, and sponsoring other activities favorable to artistic expression; and to provide friendly exchanges among painters, photographers and those interested in the fine arts. Regular monthly meetings are held at the Franklin Senior Center featuring professional artist demonstrations, and member exhibits are put on multiple times each year.

Franklin Historical Museum

The Franklin Historical Museum is a community center for the preservation and sharing of Franklin’s rich history. Located downtown, the museum opened in 2010 in the former location of the Franklin Senior Center, originally built as the Town Hall. With their collection of artifacts, photos, documents, textiles, and furniture, the museum has permanent exhibits and changing temporary exhibits. Guest Speakers are a feature attraction at the museum on the second Sunday of each month. The summer months brings our most popular exhibit, the beautiful Wedding Gown display. Visit us Saturday mornings, Sunday afternoons, and Thursday evenings (April-November).

Franklin Mill Store

The Franklin Mill Store is a third generation family run company. It was established in 1946 as a store front in their grandfather's woolen mill to sell remnants to the public. Since then, the store has expanded to include a full service home decorating department, designer quilting and fashion fabrics, ribbons and trimmings, beautiful yarns for knitting and crocheting, as well as patterns and notions for all of your projects. Classes and workshops are offered throughout the year.
