“The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.” - Brian Herbert

Stimulating and supportive, the Franklin Cultural District is a compact area devoted to creative learning. Home to the first public library in America, Franklin also boasts the Franklin Historical Museum, Dean College, and over 25 other cultural, performing, and visual arts studios and organizations next to extraordinary restaurants and shopping.

The District offers classes, workshops, and educational offerings for learners of all ages. Get inspired by other parents at toddler Library classes, carve a new path through coursework at Dean College, catch classes at the Lifelong Learning Institute, or find your muse through Franklin Public Schools’ arts departments. Beyond these partners, our community offers a kaleidoscope of art, dance, and music class offerings that you can explore on our Arts Learning page.
