Sarah Whitney, Solo Violinist & Franklin High School String Performance

Praised by the Washington Post for her “marvelous violin acrobatics'', violinist Sarah Whitney is known for her musical versatility. Sarah is a founding member of the NYC based string quintet SYBARITE5, whose last two albums have reached the top ten on the Billboard Charts. As a soloist, Sarah has collaborated with the Alvin Ailey and Jose Limon dance companies, as well as featured on-stage with Adele, Ellie Goulding, the Transiberian Orchestra, NAS, Jeff Beck, Tommy Lee, Father John Misty. Sarah has also opened for Jennifer Hudson and Diana Ross. 

Provided through a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Franklin Cultural District, Sarah will come to Franklin High School on June 11th to provide an interactive performance workshop to students of the FHS orchestra. This will be followed by a collaborative performance on the Franklin Town Common which will take place at 5:00PM that night.
