Public Transportation:

There are two MBTA Commuter Rail stops in Franklin, one on the outskirts of Franklin (Forge Park stop) and one in the center of the Cultural District (Franklin/Dean College). Please refer to the MBTA website for schedules and ticketing information for the Franklin Commuter Rail Line.

Driving Directions:

From the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90)

Take Exit 11A to I-495 South. Continue south to Exit 17 and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Route 140 South. Continue on Route 140 South for 1.5 miles through four traffic lights. After passing the fourth light, you will see the Dean College Campus Center parking lot on the left. You are now in the center of the Franklin Cultural District!

From Connecticut

Take I-84 East or I-395 North to the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East. Proceed to Exit 11A to I-495 South. Continue south to Exit 17 and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Route 140 South. Continue on Route 140 South for 1.5 miles through four traffic lights. After passing the fourth light, you will see the Dean College Campus Center parking lot on the left. You are now in the center of the Franklin Cultural District!

From New Hampshire and Maine

Take I-93 South or I-95 South to I-495 South. Continue south to Exit 17 and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Route 140 South. Continue on Route 140 South for 1.5 miles through four traffic lights. After passing the fourth light, you will see the Dean College Campus Center parking lot on the left. You are now in the center of the Franklin Cultural District!

From Rhode Island

Take Route I-95 North to I-495 North. Continue north to Exit 17 and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Route 140 South. Continue on Route 140 South for 1.5 miles through four traffic lights. After passing the fourth light, you will see the Dean College Campus Center parking lot on the left. You are now in the center of the Franklin Cultural District!

Cultural District Parking:

The Town of Franklin offers a variety of municipal parking lots and free on-street parking in and around the Cultural District.You may access the Town's Downtown Parking Portal here. However, many of our various cultural partners offer designated parking for patrons.Please refer to the Partner list for addresses.
